Collection: Everyday Wear: Biothane Collection

We designed TWO Biothane Collections: The Classic Collection and the Essential Collection. Each Collection has 4 products:

1. Heavy Duty Leash
2. Standard Leash
3. Heavy Duty Traffic Handle Leash
4. Standard Traffic Handle Leash.

The Classic Collection is designed to be compatible with the Hands-free Sets. It is also compatible with Multi-leash Attachments and our Safety Tab/Handles. It has a detachable handle, and you can choose up to two colours: one for the handle, one for the leash. It is the perfect combination of fashion and functionality.

The Essential Collection is designed to be simple everyday use. It can be paired with our Safety Tab/Handles, but it is NOT compatible with our Hands-free/Multi-leash Attachments. You can also choose up to two colours: we can add an accent colour at the end of the leash to spice things up.

Whether you are all about that hands-free life with our Classic leashes or need the simplicity our Essential leashes provide, we've got the leash that fits in best with your lifestyle ready.

We designed the Biothane Long Line to be the perfect Dog Training Leash, Running Leash, and your go-to gear for a Decompression Walk.

Use the Long Lead as Training Gear: A long line is an essential training gear to have. We use our long line for recall activities, building our dogs' recall outdoors in a fun way while providing them the mental stimulation they need. Aside from training recall, a long line is a great tool to bring any training activity outdoors -- practice "focus", "touch", "come and sit", "sit by heel", and perfect so many more life skills with your pup!

Use the Long Lead on Decompression Walks: As important as it may be to work on loose-leash walking, it is just as important (if not more) to set up decompression walks for our dogs where they LEAD the walk! A decompression walk allows our dog to CHOOSE and have control, free of the restrictions from a tight leash, us navigating them through, and fear of potential triggers in an environment.

Take your dog to an open field or a quiet beach or trail, somewhere they don't usually go, and use a 20-30ft long lead and allow them to sniff up all the enrichment and take their time!

This is the perfect gear for dogs that might not have reliable recall skills, at on-leash trails/beaches, dogs that might struggle with short leash reactivity or other reactivity, and even dogs that are great off-leash and aren't reactive -- encouraging them to lead, sniff, and scavenge is a great way to make our dog walks about them instead of about us.

We designed the Hands-free Adapter and Sets to make your walks hassle-free. Pair the Hands-free adapter with any of our Classic Biothane Dog Leashes or Biothane Long Lines and you'll never have to worry about juggling leashes and losing your grip again. Our hands-free designs give you the freedom to wave hello, sip that latte, while opening your treat pouch and rewarding your dog.

We designed the Multi-leash Attachment and Sets for dog owners with 2+ dogs and for other Commercial Dog Walkers like us!

With our Multi-leash attachment, you can turn any of our Classic Biothane Dog Leashes or Biothane Long Lines into a two-dog leash, three-dog leash, and can be customized if needed for more.

We designed the Oh Sh!t Collection as an extra safety precaution needed in case of any Oh Sh!t Moments. Both the Safety Traffic Handle and Tab are designed to be attached to your pups' harness and to be left on when off-leash to make it easy for you to grab onto them and leash them up quickly when needed.

They are also perfect for you if your pup likes to play the "come and get me" game every time it is time to leash them back up. The safety attachment makes it easier to grab onto them when it is time to head back home.

We have two types of Biothane -- Super Heavy & Standard. Our Heavy Duty products are made with Super Heavy Biothane and our Standard products are made with Standard Biothane.

In short, we recommend the Super Heavy Biothane for everyday use and we recommend the Standard Biothane as a secondary gear for shorter walks. We designed the Standard Biothane products to be nice-to-haves in your dog's wardrobe, taking advantage of the material's lightweight and flexibility.

Other Considerations:

We recommend the Super Heavy Biothane if your dog is a powerhouse puller, struggles with some reactivity (incl. leash reactivity). The Super Heavy Biothane is more heavy weight and sturdy and the best option for bigger dogs or stronger pullers.

We recommend the Standard Biothane if you are looking for something more lightweight when it comes to Dog Gear -- it's the perfect light gear for running with your dog or a casual stroll around the neighbourhood. It is guaranteed to be the lightest dog leash in your collection!

When it comes to dog gear, one size doesn't fit all.

Our Classic & Essential leashes come in 4ft and 5ft and can be customized to be shorter or longer with your special request.

We recommend a shorter 4ft leash for walks in the city, especially in Downtown/urban and busy city streets, and a longer 5ft leash for walks on the trails or if you live in the suburbs near parks. A shorter leash is also recommended for going on runs with your dog, and a 20-30ft Long Line is the way to go for decompression walks to allow for lots of enrichment and freedom!

Please keep in mind that we measure the length of the actual leash, excluding the length of the handle -- so a 4ft leash is 4ft with the handle attached and 5ft with the handle detached for our Classic Leashes.

You know the smell we're talking about. With Biothane leashes, you will never have to worry about a soggy and smelly leash ever again. The material is quick to dry, easy to clean, and stain-proof so it'll always stay looking just like new. Rain or shine, Biothane dog gear will make sure every outing with your furry friend is a clean and happy experience!

To clean your Biothane Leashes, simply soak the leash in warm and soapy water. For any dirt or patches, you can spray the spot with a cleaner and use a toothbrush to lightly scrub over the marks or leave rubbing alcohol on for awhile before scrubbing or wiping.

Over time with heavy wear, the hardware will leave tarnish marks where the Biothane folds. Regularly cleaning your leashes may help diminish the tarnish marks.

Remember to not wash your leashes in the washing machine, and to thoroughly rinse your leashes in warm water after cleaning with rubbing alcohol!

We have two types of Biothane: Super Heavy & Standard. Our Heavy Duty products are made with Super Heavy Biothane and our Standard products are made with Standard Biothane.

Both are waterproof, stain-proof, and can stand heavy wear and tear.

Super Heavy Biothane is more sturdy and has a more luxe feel and texture, and is on the heavier side. We always recommend upgrading to the Heavy Duty Trigger Snaps for hardware with our Super Heavy Biothane Products.

The material is designed for everyday use. In comparison to Standard Biothane that was designed to be nice-to-haves in your dog's wardrobe in addition to the Heavy Duty leashes, suitable mainly for shorter walks.

Other Considerations: We recommend the Super Heavy Biothane if your pup is a stronger puller or if you are planning to use the gear for training, since the material allows you to have better grip and control over the gear when needed.

Standard Biothane is way lighter with a softer feel and texture and is more flexible. We recommend sticking with the Classic Trigger Snap for hardware with our Standard Biothane products. The overall look is more petite and designed to be lightwear.

If your pup is a stronger puller, working with some reactivity, or if you are planning to use it primarily for training, we would recommend looking into the Super Heavy Biothane for better grip and control over the gear.
