Our Essential Biothane Leashes are your conventional dog leash except... wait for it... you can also design the leash to have TWO colours by adding an accent colour at the end of the leash to spice things up! There are endless combinations you can try out, from pastels to brights & neon, and you just know your walks will always be full of colour even on gloomy days!
The key difference between the Essential and Classic Biothane Collection is that our Essential Biothane leashes are not designed to be compatible with the Hands-free and Multi-leash Attachments.
If you're not a big fan of complex designs and don't need a detachable handle, the Essential Collection is for you to have the best of both worlds.

The Essential Biothane Leashes can be paired with our Safety Accessories that adds an additional level of protection. Our Safety Handles & Tabs are meant to be clipped onto your dogs' harness and left on their gear whether they are on- or off-leash. Our leash is meant to be clipped onto the Safety Handle or Tab.

If you thought it couldn't get better... our Essential Biothane Leashes can be personalized just for you. We can imprint your dog's name onto the leash and make it truly one-of-a-kind and different from any other leash sitting at home.
We also understand that when it comes to dog gear, one size doesn't fit all. Our Essential Leashes come in 4ft and 5ft and can be personalized to be shorter or longer with your special request. Whatever it is that you need, we'll make it work.
Please keep in mind that we measure the length of the actual leash, excluding the length of the handle.

Choosing a Biothane Material:
We have two types of Biothane: Super Heavy & Standard. Our Heavy Duty products are made with Super Heavy Biothane and our Standard products are made with Standard Biothane.
In short, we recommend the Super Heavy Biothane for everyday use and we recommend the Standard Biothane as a secondary gear for shorter walks. We designed the Standard Biothane products to be nice-to-haves in your dog's wardrobe, taking advantage of the material's lightweight and flexibility.
Other Considerations:
We recommend the Super Heavy Biothane if your dog is a powerhouse puller, struggles with some reactivity (incl. leash reactivity). The Super Heavy Biothane is more heavy weight and sturdy and the best option for bigger dogs or stronger pullers.
We recommend the Standard Biothane if you are looking for something more lightweight when it comes to Dog Gear -- it's the perfect light gear for running with your dog or a casual stroll around the neighbourhood. It is guaranteed to be the lightest dog leash in your collection!
Choosing Your Leash Length:
Our Classic & Essential leashes come in 4ft and 5ft and can be personalized to be shorter or longer with your special request.
We recommend a shorter 4ft leash for walks in the city (especially in Downtown or urban areas) and a longer 5ft leash for walks on the trails or if you live in the suburbs near parks.
